Good and bad anger
November 01 , 2007
Hare Krishna.
Lord Krishna explains in the 2nd chapter of Bhagavad-gita that material anger is the result of unfilled lust ultimately resulting in delusion, bewilderment of memory and our falling further into the clutches of His external energy. Of course any emotion which has Krishna at the center can be spiritualized, therefore we have the superlative example of Hanuman's anger being used in service to Lord Ramachandra when his wrath against Ravana was exhibited by burning Ravana's city.
So anger based upon sense gratification results in our spiritual defeat, whereas anger in service to Krishna is our spiritual victory.
Sincerely,
Dulal Chandra dasa
