My awkward situation

Yes, this material world in constantly placing us in embarrassing situations. We are truly like a fish out of water, flopping around helplessly because of our predicament. But please do not become despondent, you are obviously a very sincere soul who wants to advance nicely in spiritual life, so Krishna will certainly help.
Krishna states in Bhagavad-gita that He is the strength of the strong, the intelligence of the intelligent, so we must constantly take shelter of Him for full protection. He is our dearmost friend and well wisher, fully understanding our true desires. Krishna consciousness mean that we take full advantage of His loving shelter, and allow Him to purify us of all lusty desire created by our association with this material world.
So toss off your concerns and with determination take full shelter of His mercy. This you can easily accomplish by increasing your involvement in activities favorable to your Krishna Consciousness. Of primary importance is taking up a regulated program of chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra

This chanting will gradually cleanse the mirror of the mind, as Lord Caitanya states in His siksastakam, as is places us in our constitutional position of loving service to Krishna. Additionally is "increases the ocean of transcendental bliss" and that spiritual enjoyment far far exceeds the topmost enjoyment of this material world "sex."
So bathe your mind in the Holy Name, for it will provide the full cleansing that you do truly desire. And instead of surfing tv late in the evenings pick up a Krishna Book and read about Lord Krishna's wonderful pastimes with His topmost lovers in Vrindaban.
